Even in his youth, when he convicted the false witnesses against the pious and beautiful Susanna, Daniel gave proof of that wisdom (see Susanna, The Book of) which afterward made him so famous that it was said of him, "If he were in one scale of the balance and all the wise men of the heathens in the other, he would outweigh them all" (see Yoma. Book of Daniel Prophecy: End of Days Bible Study of the Prophet Daniel By H. L. Nigro. The prophecies in the Book of Daniel are so detailed and accurate that scholars who don't believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God have trouble accepting Daniel as the author of his book. One of the first rules in the study of the Book of Daniel is to remember that this Book is primarily and first of all a prophecy, dealing with things which still lie in the future, and that Daniel was primarily a prophet.

Daniel should, therefore, be read and studied in connection with Daniel the pious prophet book last book of the Bible, the Revelation of Jesus Christ, given by the Holy Spirit to John/5(6). Daniel, however, used the language of “visions” to describe his experiences, even after he saw angels and received knowledge through them, as we can see from the following verses from the Book of Daniel: “Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in Daniel the pious prophet book vision of the night” ().Author: Yehuda Shurpin.

Daniel was a young man of Jewish nobility taken into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar in the third year of Jehoiakim and renamed Belteshazzar.

Prophet Daniel was trained in the king's court and then elevated to a high rank in the Babylonian and Persian : Jack Zavada. When did Daniel live, and when was the book of Daniel written. The biblical account of Daniel the prophet begins as he and other young men from Judah were taken captive by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon (Daniel ) in approximately captivity of citizens of Judah in Babylon lasted for 70 years, as God had foretold through the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah ).

The Book of Daniel is followed by the Prophet Hosea, the first of the Prophets in the Book of the Twelve. Daniel in the Lions' Den is a favorite Bible story for children.

In addition, the captivating prophecy, imagery, and symbolism make the Book of Daniel one of the most read of Hebrew Scripture, our Old Testament of the Bible. DANIEL in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, observed in the books the number of the years which was revealed as the word of the L ORD to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years.

DANIEL In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a]message was revealed to Daniel, who was File Size: KB. (4) Shut up the words The revelation, which commenced in Danielnow draws towards a close, and the prophet receives a further revelation respecting the time of the revelation continues to be called by the same name, "the words," as in Daniel ; and now the prophet is told that the book in which this revelation is written must be placed in a safe and sure place, for the.

Daniel is important for Christian eschatology because it is the only book in the Hebrew Bible that refers to the resurrection of the dead, and some of its terminology - such as ‘kingdom of God’ and ‘one like a son of man’ - is central to the new testament gospels.

Daniel is actually unlike the prophetic books, which consist largely of poetic oracles. Instead it’s made up of six stories of Judeans in exile, similar to the book of Esther, followed by a series of visions that have many characteristics of apocalyptic literature, like the book of Revelation.

The prophetic seal on the book of Daniel is unsealing right before our very eyes. The days of the 'Church Age' are rapidly drawing to a close and the shadows of the end-times are approaching. The Old Persian Empire encompassed the areas of present-day Iraq, Iran, Syria, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Pakistan and also present-day Turkey, Palestine.

God gave these four young men knowledge and understanding in every kind of literature and wisdom. Daniel also understood visions and dreams of every kind. Contemporary English Version God made the four young men smart and wise. They read a lot of books and became well educated. Daniel could also tell the meaning of dreams and visions.

When the Lord uttered the words, "Daniel the prophet" He put at once His unimpeachable seal on both the person and the book of Daniel. But there are other evidences. The heathen Porphyr declared that the book was written during the days of the Maccabees; as stated above the modern critics have echoed the opinion of that lost heathen soul.

Daniel the Prophet In Conclusion. There is a lot in Daniel’s short book. There are amazing accounts of triumph from trial and deliverance from execution. Daniel and his three companions refused to compromise their convictions, and even though that kind of stand could have cost them their lives, it ended up ensuring their protection and.

Antiochus Epiphanes was a Greek tryant of the 2nd century B.C. He was a vicious enemy of the Jewish people, outlawing Judaism and descrating the sacred Hebrew temple. In an amazing display of prophetic revelation, Daniel the prophet, several centuries earlier, had detailed some of the exploits of this political monster.

Jason Jackson discusses some of Daniel's stunning predictions in this. The book of Daniel relates that Nebuchadnezzar had a dream about a statue whose head was fashioned of gold; chest and arms of silver; belly and thighs of bronze; legs of iron; and feet of iron mixed with clay.

The image was struck and crushed to powder by a stone that had been “cut out without hands” (Daniel –35). The Failure of Daniel's Prophecies () Chris Sandoval The prophet Daniel supposedly predicted that four great empires were to rise and fall in succession between his day and the end of the world: Babylonia, Media, Persia, and Greece.

Pious Jews apparently embraced the book, despite its historical errors, false predictions, and recent. The Book of Daniel, also called The Prophecy Of Daniel, a book of the Old Testament found in the Ketuvim (Writings), the third section of the Jewish canon, but placed among the Prophets in the Christian first half of the book (chapters 1–6) contains stories in the third person about the experiences of Daniel and his friends under Kings Nebuchadrezzar II, Belshazzar, Darius I, and.

[Box on page 6] THE “LATE-DATE” THEORY. THE Bible attributes the book of Daniel to the prophet of that name, which would locate the writing of this book in the sixth century B.C.E.

But the prophecies it contains are so astounding that many have doubted that they were written before the events non-Christians, and even many Bible commentators who call themselves Christians.

Daniel in Islam. Daniel (Arabic: دانيال, Danyal) is usually considered by Muslims in general to have been a prophet and according to Shia Muslim hadith he was a prophet.

Although he is not mentioned in the Qur'an, nor in hadith of Sunni Islam, Sunni Muslim reports of him are taken from Isra'iliyyat, which bear his name and which refer to his time spent in the den of the lions. The Book of Daniel No other book in the Bible has been attacked like the Book of Daniel.

For years, beginning with Porphyry, a Syrian, in the Third Century, the book has been in the "Critic's Den" and fiercely assailed by sceptical writers. Porphyry claimed that instead of being written by Daniel about B. C.it was a forgery written File Size: KB. At the end of the book of Daniel, God instructed Daniel to “shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase” (Daniel ).

It is undeniable that we are now living in the “information age,” a time where knowledge has increased in a manner that is unprecedented in. But the book of Daniel reminds us that, in spite of appearances, the God of Israel is the God of the nations. Things are not what they seem. So until his kingdom comes in all its fullness, we trust that he is in control — that he could wipe the planet clean now .
